Foundation Video wins National Telly Award

MTDC Foundation put their philanthropy in "Motion" on Memorial Day Weekend with the running of the 6th Annual Dash Race for the Kids.

Prosser, WA— Saturday May 29th— Over 200 participants laced up their shoes and ran, biked and Zumba-ed for a good cause. The running of the Sixth Annual Dash Race took on a little different twist this year. Local businesses competed for a "traveling trophy" with Desert Wind Winery taking home the prize in the 5K race and Ponti Del Rosa Winery winning in the 5K Relay. These teams took home the trophies and will have bragging rights until the next race in 2011. And if that change wasn't enough, this year we introduce a Zumbathon to the event. Using dance movements, participants "exercised" to sounds of Latin music, lead by Zumba instructor Carlos Trevino. It was a family fun-filled event with a kids fun run, youth activities and face painting.

Foundation Honored in 31st Annual Telly Awards

For over a quarter century, the Telly statuette has been a symbol of creative excellence. Designed by the same firm that makes the Oscar® and Emmy®, the Telly statuette honors the very best in film and video production. The Telly Awards was founded in 1978 to honor excellence in local, regional and cable TV commercials. Non-broadcast video and TV program categories were soon added. Today, the Telly is one of the most sought-after awards by industry leaders, from large international firms to local production companies and ad agencies. A Silver and Bronze award are given in each category. With over 13,000 entries last year, we are excited to annouce that our foundation video received a coveted Bronze National Telly Award in the fundraising category. Our special thanks and congratulations go to Stan McMeekin, 14 time Emmy and Telly Award winning producer from Solano Productions who worked with foundation President, Hope Moore, to produce this award-winning video.
